Mezanmi Photography was officially founded in late 2018 just outside of Boston, MA. However, Jennifer's photography journey began long ago when her mother bought her her very first disposable camera in 1996. In an effort to bring her daughter out of her introversion, Jennifer's mother enrolled her in modeling, acting, and photography classes at a young age. She would go on to model beauty, fashion, and runway within the New England circuit, as well as participating in commercials and movies. It is through these interests and experiences being behind the camera, as well as in front of it that she has cultivated a specialization in portraiture and product placement. Jennifer Misfit has taken what was once a beloved hobby and is now the sole owner and operator of this local small business.


You may be wondering, now what exactly does Mezanmi mean?​

The word itself is a commonly used expression in the Haitian language and culture. This interjection if often used to convey a range of emotions, from wonderment or excitement, to surprise, or disbelief. Not only is the name an homage to Jennifer's ancestry, but a lingual amalgamation of her personal relationship with the photographic process.

Mezanmi Photography places a substantial focus on the overall experience their clients have, as well as creating the perfect photo. The utmost priority is to ensure that their clients’ needs are completely met while producing photos of the highest aesthetic quality. Jennifer Misfit posses an eye for detail and composition, and a mastery of lighting and retouching. She has a calm and fun approach  to creating memorable, artistic works. The results speak for themselves with photography that is natural, relaxed, and beautifully lit!
